Book an appointment for:

Services we offer

  • Do It Yourself (DIY) = working independently with only limited hands-off guidance.

    DIY hourly rate: $10/members & $20/non-members

Do It Together = working alongside a volunteer who provides assistance as required.

    DIT hourly rate: $20/members & $30/non-members

    General info:

    • If you do a mix of DIY & DIT, you can pay an intermediate rate.

    • Rates are post-pay & charged to the nearest half hour.

    • Book only one DIY/DIT appointment per day. Duplicate bookings will be cancelled, but you can stay for more than an hour if space allows.

  • Book this service if you’d like us to repair a single issue on your bike for you.

We charge based on 30 minute windows. Typically, 30 minutes is enough time to do repairs on one aspect of your bike, not for a full tune up. Cost of replacement parts is not included.

If you just need us to fix a flat or change a tire on a standard bike, please book a Flat Fix appointment.

    Full Service Rate (parts extra):
    30 minute service: members $28 / non-members $40

    Flat Fix / Tire Change: members $10.50 / non-members $15

We will do as much work as possible in the time booked. Additional work may be possible, though you will need to pay for extra time if work exceeds the reasonable limit of booked time.

Note that our focus for full service is on essential repairs to make your bike safe and functional. For annual tune ups, rebuilds, and other service we recommend visiting a local retail bike shop.

  • Please stop by our shop during regular hours to shop for parts and consult with our helpful mechanics to help you find the right parts to get you rolling. Please note that we are no longer offering appointments for parts consultations.

Guidelines for finding the right part:

    • Many bike parts are very specific and not interchangeable. Always bring the bike or part with you whenever possible. A clear photo and the bike's make and model is helpful if you cannot bring the bike itself.

    • If booking a DIY/DIT or full service repair we can help you find parts during your appointment.

    • For thorough bike assessments, extensive rebuilds & upgrades, or involved repair advice, please book a Do-it-Yourself or Do-It-Together appointment, or drop in any time our shop is open.

  • If you are unsure what type of service you need, first check out the answers to common questions listed on our FAQ page.

If you’re still unsure, feel free to contact us. Please describe your bike issue in reasonable detail and we'll let you know what we suggest.

If you'd like us to thoroughly assess your bike please book a DIY/DIT appointment or drop in to our workshop any time we’re open.

  • You're always welcome to drop in during open hours to work on your bike. If the shop is very busy, you may need to wait for a stand, keep your repairs to a single issue, and possibly come back again another day.

If you need to be sure that you’ll have a stand available when you come in, appointments are available to reserve a space.

Full service repairs are by appointment only.

  • Repair appointment bookings open seven days in advance. Please check back the next day if you don’t see any availability within the week.

  • You can cancel your appointment using the cancel or reschedule appointment buttons included in the confirmation email. Note that we will not refund appointments cancelled with with less than one hour's notice.

    • One bike per appointment for full service repairs.

    • Repair service prices do not include parts.

    • Our priority is helping people to ride; we may refuse to service bikes intended for immediate resale.

    • Note we cannot typically:

      • service hydraulic brakes

      • install tubeless tires

      • rebuild and repair suspension

      • diagnose or repair electronic e-bike components

      • offer complete overhauls or rebuilds

  • We are a volunteer powered community bike shop. Our shop is a learning space and our volunteers build their skills by assisting with all types of repairs.

We believe in fixing things before replacing them, within reason, and will work around your budget as much as possible to help you get riding.

We prioritize teaching and empowering people to fix their own bikes. We are glad to offer full service repairs, but we focus on specific repairs needed to keep you riding, not full overhauls or rebuilds. If you have a major repair project we suggest using DIY/DIT rather than full service repairs.
