Notice of 2025 AGM & Special Resolution to Amend Bylaws

Sunday, October 26th at the Strathcona Community League

Bike Edmonton is pleased to invite all members to our 2025 AGM on Sunday, October 26th at 1 pm at the Strathcona Community League's upper hall (10139 - 87 Avenue NW). Bike Edmonton is finishing our year on a high note, more united and focused on our mission, and in a strong financial position. This will be an opportunity to come together after the municipal election to celebrate our strengths, and we'd love to have you there.

One of the most important orders of business will be to ratify an update to our bylaws that was undertaken by our Governance Committee. This update is to improve clarity and completeness, and isn't intended to make any significant changes to the essence of the bylaws. The proposed edits may be viewed here.

There are only 3 board seats up for re-election this year, with the incumbents all offering to continue for another term. We value new skills and perspectives, though, so don't hesitate if you would like to put yourself forward to fill one of these seats. You can nominate yourself by sending a brief bio or statement of intent to [email protected], or just get in touch for more information. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the AGM.

Members in good standing who are present at the meeting (no proxies) may vote. Good standing means regular members who have been members for at least one calendar month, and any honorary members. A regular member who has lapsed for no more than six months shall also be considered a member in good standing immediately upon payment of their dues (this can be done at the AGM).
