Full service Bike Repair Questions

  • We currently offer 30 minute Repair Service (we do the work), Flat Repair service (we do the work) as well as Do It Yourself (DIY) Service (you do the work) and Do It Together (DIT) Service (work alongside a volunteer mechanic). You can find more information on DIY/DIT above, and on our Repair Appointments page.

  • Please note only one bike is permitted per appointment.

A Flat Tire Fix / Tire Change service ($10.50 members and $15 for non-members) is only intended for a flat tire fix, tube replacement, or tire replacement on one wheel on a standard bicycle.

If you have an e-bike, a less standard bike where the wheel is difficult to remove, or have multiple things you would like to address beyond a flat tire fix, then please book a 30 minute appointment.

The 30 repair service ($28 for members and $40 for non-members) is intended for work on a single issue such as:

    • chain repair or replacement

    • stolen wheel replacement

    • rack or fender installation

    • bearing adjustment

    • wheel truing

    • uncomplicated drivetrain replacement

  • Please note that our 30 minute repair service is meant to fix a single issue on your bike to keep it working.

We will prioritize the most important repairs and get as much done as we can. If your bike needs more time, we may be able to extend your appointment for an additional fee if space is available. If we do not have enough space or help to extend your appointment, you will need to return another day.

  • We cannot:

    • bleed hydraulic brakes

    • install tubeless tires

    • repair suspension parts

    • repair electronic e-bike components

    • work on gas powered bikes

  • We have most parts needed to repair most bikes. However we cannot guarantee we have all parts, especially if they are uncommon, higher end or newer parts. If you know you need a specific part please let us know in advance or indicate it when you book your appointment.

  • We cannot store bikes overnight under any circumstances.

We encourage you to stick around while we fix your bike so you can learn more about the repair process and answer questions about your bike.

If you have a full service appointment at the downtown shop you can drop your bike off at your scheduled time and pick it up before we close that day, so long as we can contact you if we have questions about repairs. There is a storage cost of $25 per day for bikes left overnight, and we are not responsible in cases of damage or theft of bikes left at our shop without owner supervision.
