Bike Sales Questions

  • We sell a wide variety of used bikes.

Refurbished bikes are fully repaired and checked by professional mechanics. We prioritize function, so bikes may have appropriate, but aesthetically mismatched parts. We strive to repair refurbished bikes to a standard where they shouldn’t need additional parts in the first season of average use. When you buy a bike from us, it will be genuinely one-of-a-kind!

Quick-tune bikes have been repaired to the point of being safe to ride, but may need replacement parts sooner than fully refurbished bikes.

Project bikes have not had any work done to them, may not be complete, and are not ready to ride.

  • You can view all of the refurbished bikes we currently have available on our website. We recommend booking an appointment to test ride our refurbished bikes to minimize wait time and ensure that the bike(s) you’re interested in are still available when you arrive. If you don’t book an appointment, we will still do our best to help you, but there may be longer wait times during the busy season.

  • Sometimes appointments fill within minutes of opening, which is why you may be experiencing difficulties finding an available slot. We realize this can be frustrating. We are a non-profit society with minimal staffing with restricted volunteer capacity, and we are helping as many people as we can.

Currently, we only open appointment bookings up a maximum of 48 hours in advance to ensure the bikes you see on the website are available when you come in for your appointment. If you see no available appointments, then all appointment slots filled. Check back frequently, if you can, as sometimes a spot becomes available if someone cancels. We may also delay opening appointment bookings until we finish updating the website to reflect the bikes that have been sold or built through the day.

Bookings open 48 hours in advance and appointments are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings and Saturday & Sunday afternoons. This ensures our website listing reflects our actual bike inventory at the time of booking. Check back often for cancellations or for when the next days’ appointments open up.

  • We have limited space to do bike fittings in our tiny showroom. Appointments ensure we have the time to find a bike that fits your properly and meets your needs, and that you don’t have to fight a crowd while you’re trying to choose a bike. During the busy season, our supply of refurbished bikes is lower than demand and requiring appointments is also a way for us to fairly help as many people as possible to find a great bike.

  • No, all available bikes that are ready to ride are shown on the website. We are constantly refurbishing more bikes and the website is updated frequently so please check back periodically if you don’t see anything that interests you.

  • We are not able to ship bikes or parts.

  • We have as-is project bikes for sale but they are not usually shown on the website. All untuned as-is bikes will require repairs before they are safe to ride. Please see our as-is page for more details.
